This kitchen remodel in a unit of an Edwardian-era This kitchen remodel in a unit of an Edwardian-era building in Noe Valley transformed a once enclosed space into a bright, open, and functional layout. Our goal was to preserve the historic character—keeping details like the original window trim and crown moulding—while introducing a modern, highly functional kitchen that meets today’s needs.

Reflecting back on the AIA Conference in Boston an Reflecting back on the AIA Conference in Boston and feeling inspired! Each year seems to have an underlying theme, and this year it was all about AI. It was refreshing to step out of my little work bubble and see what’s happening across the architecture industry.

I loved connecting with other small firm owners, chatting with software and product experts at the expo, and listening to some inspiring speakers. I came home with new ideas, a few tools to test out, and some fresh AI strategies to improve efficiency.

And of course - Boston! I haven’t spent much time there in years, so getting to explore the city on a food tour and a boat tour with fellow architects made it even better. What an incredible setting for a conference.

Now under construction in Noe Valley! 🛠️
We’re excited to share a rendering of this new backyard ADU, currently being built. Thoughtfully designed to complement the existing home, this compact home will provide flexible space for our clients in one of San Francisco’s most charming neighborhoods.

Thinking about adding an ADU to your property? We’d love to help you explore the possibilities.

Built-in benches are one of our favorite space-sav Built-in benches are one of our favorite space-saving design tricks — perfect for creating a cozy nook while adding extra function.

In our Romeo remodel in San Francisco, we extended the cabinets from a floor-to-ceiling pantry to create a custom built-in bench to maximize storage and allow for more seating.
